The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rockstar

Nikki Sixx originally wrote a book about the struggles of his life and addictions. Mainly about his amazing survivals with over doses, people who have influenced him into music and others that got him into creating a more positive life style. He talks about how he would wake up in the morning and feel more like crap then the last. How he felt like he had no control over his life, how much he regretted getting into drugs. He didn’t know that most of his writings would make it into a book; in fact he just started writing free flowing unconscious thoughts that flew into his head down onto paper. When he went to rehab for drugs and alcohol treatment, he was clean for good, and saw life with a new twist. His first collections of diaries come back from 1987, the climax of his career as the well-known and idolized bassist, but also fell into the struggles of his personal life. The deepest parts of a wicked depression, and unlimited secrets to Motley Crue all written into one book. It leaves a person in shock and chills to think about how some one could even live a lifestyle like that.
He continues to talk about how he hated his father for leaving, his mother for never raising him right and left it to his grandparents to do it, and mourning his grandmother’s death. He talks about how he would watch his sister for a couple of days on end, while his mom was out and about doing her own thing. When she did return home, she was usually blasted, meaning one large amounts of drugs along with her boyfriend.
